An extensive Niderviller "au barbeaux" dinner service
1770-1793, marked with interlaced C's for the Comte the Custine period
Painted in blue and green with the sprig-pattern of cornflowers in the Louis XVI style, comprising:
- a large two-handled oval bulging tureen and cover, 35cm. wide;
- a pair of small two-handled oval bulging tureens and covers, 26cm. wide;
- a pair of sauceboats with elongated spout and double scroll handle, 23.5cm. wide;
- four two-handled oval ajour baskets with two medallions, 25cm. wide;
- a pair of barrel-shaped mustard pots and flat covers with berry finial, 8.4cm. high;
- a pair of small two-handled ogival-shaped tureens and covers, 17cm. wide;
- four oval side dishes with ajour border;
- a pair of very large deep bowls, 43cm. diam.;
- a circular pierced colander, 31cm. diam.;
- a large pair of circular chargers, 37cm. diam.;
- four large chargers; 30.5cm. diam.;
- four circular chargers, 28.5cm. diam.;
- eighteen deep dishes, 24.5cm. diam.;
- fifty seven dishes, circa 25cm. diam.;

Christie's charges a Buyer's premium calculated at 20.825% of the hammer price for each lot with a value up to €90,000 (NLG 198.334). If the hammer price of a lot exceeds €90,000 then the hammer price of a lot is calculated at 20.825% of the first €90,000 plus 11.9% of any amount in excess of €90,000. Buyer's Premium is calculated on this basis for each lot individually.
