Circa 1740
(Tabatière in Form eines Körbchens) the model probably by Johann Joachim Kaendler (1735), of quatrefoil oval basket form, the white-ground outside modelled in relief with Sulkowsky-Flechtrelief muster pattern in relief, the inside of the cover painted in colours with the half-length portrait of a nude maiden (Susanna) holding a white garment, flanked by a bearded elderly man holding an arm around her, a young child peeping over her shoulder, the inside gilt
