A GEORGE III MAHOGANY BRACKET CLOCK
The dial signed John Taylor London, late 18th Century
With a bail handle above a domed top flanked by later urn form finials above a rectangular case with later fretwork spandrels, the clock face signed on a silvered sector in the matted center within the silvered chapter ring with pierced blued steel hands and inner concentric calendar ring with brass arrow-head hand, foliate spandrels, Strike/Silent ring in the arch, the twin fusee movmeent with five pillars and verge escapement, strike on a bell, the backplate profusely engraved with flower heads and foliage, a later pendulum securing hook, all raised on later bracket feet
