A LATE GEORGE III MAHOGANY CRESCENT-FORM DESK
Circa 1800 with alterations
The molded crossbanded top inset with gilt-tooled brown leather, above three short panelled drawers above a kneehole flanked by four graduated drawers, each side set with a panelled door enclosing a narrow shelved compartment, the reverse panelled, on a base with molded upper edge, the locks replaced, the plinth extended and reveneered, probably originally fitted and the back now with later mahogany panels
