Collation: A-N8 n6 O-Z Aa8 Bb10 Cc-Mm8 Nn-Pp6 (A1 blank, A2r incipit, Nn5r tabula, Oo1r blank, Oo2r letter to Drach dated 31 August 1481, index, Pp6v blank). 305 (of 306, without first blank) leaves. 44 lines, double column. Type: 1:130G (opening), 2:94aG (text). First 8-line initial in red with brown penwork, other 2-3-line initials in red. (A2r slightly soiled, some light foxing and browning (heavier in quire X), small hole in final 2 leaves affecting a few letters.) Contemporary calf over wooden boards, blindstamped, 2 brass fore-edge clasps, red leather tabs (spine restored, some wear at upper edge of rear cover), chain staple mark at upper edge of rear board; an Augsburg binding, Kyriss shop 80, including stamps 1, 3, and 5. Provenance: headlines and some marginal annotations in a neat, contemporary hand.

This edition, the third, contains an index for the first time, thereby making these sermons a valuable reference work. The index was compiled specifically for Drach as the unsigned prefatory letter dated from Heidelberg, 31 August 1481, makes clear.
