Type: 3:111R (prologue heading), 5:93G (text), 6:150G (headlines). 2- to 8-line initials in red or blue, 8-line opening book 1 intertwined red and blue. (Some light dampstains, stains on x4, blank lower third of 2a1 cut away, blank lower margin of a2 repaired.). Early 17th-century pigskin over bevelled wooden boards, blindstamped with rolls, front cover stamped C M R 1609, 2 brass fore-edge clasps, red edges. Provenance: unidentified C M R; some early marginal notes.
SECOND EDITION, with additional material by the author bringing the chronicle to 1485. Jacobus places the invention of printing in 1458 and reports that some say Gutenberg was the inventor, others say Fust, and yet others say Nicolaus Jenson.
