Title in red and black with half-page woodcut view of Venice, within woodcut border (neatly repaired at inner margin and just trimmed at upper margin), verso with woodcut dedicatee's arms, 1 full-page woodcut plan of the Council Chamber, woodcut classical device on final leaf. (A little spotting, mainly to quires E6 and G-K6, light dampstaining mainly to lower outer margins of last two quires.) Contemporary pigskin ruled, stamped and rolled in blind, covers with central stamp showing a detailed allegorical scene, surrounded by a broad border incorporating portrait medallion and foliate rolls, spine in five compartments with raised bands (lightly soiled, corners a little bumped).
