A PAIR OF DRESDEN BALUSTER SCHNEEBALLEN VASES AND COVERS applied overall with rows of yellow-centred white mayflowers, with entwined double-branch handles issuing slender green stems with large ball terminals and pairs of birds, the covers with larger birds perched on branch handles issuing balls and red berries, on stepped spreading feet edged with gilt bands (chips to extremities, restoration to bird's wings on both covers, some stems lacking and restored, wear to gilding), imitation blue crossed swords marks, incised 1191, circa 1880
