A MEISSEN GROUP OF THE DRUNKEN SILENUS slumped on the back of the donkey wearing spotted purple drapery, supported by a youth wearing turquoise drapery and tapping the animal's rump with a stick, a maiden seated offering the animal grapes taken from a basket and a putto tugging at the animal's tail, on a grassy oval base moulded with white and gilt scrolls (stick cracked and top lacking, chips to applied leaves and grapes), blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummern 78 and 14, incised 2724, circa 1880
