A ENGLISH PORCELAIN PART DESSERT-SERVICE, the centres painted in a pale palette with loose clusters of fruit and meandering flowers within gilt wells and pierced borders of interlaced turquoise and gilt strapwork enclosing flower-heads and reserved with three oval vignettes of birds, the bases similarly pierced and painted, comprising two high comports moulded on the undersides with acanthus-leaves and on knopped stems with three arched scrolls (one with riveted repairs to border), and four low comports (general very slight wear to gilding), printed iron-red interlaced L marks below a Ducal crown, pattern numbers B/120, circa 1865
