A GEORGE JONES MAJOLICA SHELL AND DOLPHIN SWEETMEAT-DISH modelled as three scallop shells with pink interiors, conjoined by a triform dolphin handle with raised interwined tails, raised on three small scallop-shell feet, the underside with a mottled tortoise-shell glaze (two shells with riveted repairs, two rim chips and an associated hair-line crack, one dolphin with chip to nose), pattern number 1451(?), moulded marks on a lilac pad, circa 1874
