CHARLES X OF SWEDEN TO THE SUN KING, LOUIS XIV OF FRANCE

A formal letter in which the great soldier Charles X commends Colonel Desminiers, formerly a French emissary to Moscow, and praises his efforts on behalf of peace. Early in 1658 Charles had attacked Denmark and later that year signed a peace treaty that had been mediated by France and England.
