(14 x 11½ in.), with original papered Great Seal of the U.S., accomplished in manuscript, PRINTED ON PARCHMENT, several small punctures (just catching a few letters text), yellowed, framed.As a reward for service in the Continental Army, President Jefferson grants former Army Captain Henry Whiting, an officer of "the Virginia Line on Continental Establishment," a tract of 1000 acres in the frontier region "between the Little Miami and Sciota Rivers" in the newly opened Ohio Valley territories.
