PASTEUR, LOUIS. Autograph letter in French, signed ("L. Pasteur"). Paris, 12 November 1882. One page, 8vo, matted and framed with a photographic portrait. Pasteur responds to someone ("Monsieur"), I do not believe that I am authorized to send any...." The last few words are virtually illegible, perhaps he refers to a medical supply of some sort. Written in 1882, at which date Pasteur had left the prestigious Ècole des Beaux-Arts, but had not yet founded his hugely influential Institut Pasteur (1888).
