Autograph letter signed to Louis Keller, Newton Centre, Mass., 8 January 1895, 1 page, 8vo, informing him that "the copy of the hymn 'America' sent...to the Vatican Library, is not the original Manuscript, but only an autograph. It was not sent to the Pope, but to the Library, and sent as the individual act of a private gentleman. I have the original scrap of paper on which it is written...." Together two items. (2)
