A valuable, mainly used, collection including a number of very scarce to rare items and comprising Modena (17) with 1859 Provisional Government 5c. to 80c. unused and Newspaper Stamp 1859 (Feb.) 10c. black unused with part gum; Naples (21) with ½gr. rose (2, shades), 10gr. and 20gr., all fine; Parma (20) with 1852 40c. (just touched at one corner, otherwise fine), 1853-55 5c. orange-yellow, fine on fragment, 1859 Provisional Government 5c., 10c. and 40c. unused and Newspaper 1857 6c. on rose cancelled in red; Papal States (43) with 1852 50b. clear impression (2 shades, both just cut-into on one side), 1sc. unused -- fine without gum, and 80 c. (slight creasing) on small piece; Sardinia (33) with 1851 40c. and 1861 3 lire -- both with faults; Sicily (10) with 5gr. rose-carmine unused (part original gum) and 20gr. unused (without gum), and Tuscany (62) with many shades and values to 9cr. and 80c.
