The rectangular snuff-box, painted with pastoral scenes on the cover and sides, the base with a gilt scroll and trelliswork device on blue deep ground, the interior cover with a fountain in a garden setting, the interior base with a statue in a lake with a boathouse in the distance, silver-gilt mounts, marked on the thumbpiece and lower rim - 3¼in. (8.2cm.) long; and two pug's head bonbonnieres, one cover painted inside and out with a lady in a woodland setting (one repaired), unmarked - each 1 7/8in. (4.7cm.) long
