A GEORGE III OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE DINNER SERVICE
circa 1815
Comprising a pair of two-handled wine coolers, a two-handled soup tureen, a set of four two-handled sauce tureens, covers and handles and four shaped-oblong entree dishes, covers and handles, the wine coolers each on shaped circular spreading base and with detachable collars and liners, the soup tureen and sauce tureens each on four foliate scroll feet and with domed covers and detachable foliate scroll ring handles, the dishes with similar detachable handles, each with foliate scroll borders and engraved with a coat-of-arms - height of wine coolers 10¼in. (26cm.)
The arms are possibly those of Hamilton
