A FINE TEHERAN CARPET, the pale sandy yellow field with a central flower-vase issuing a variety of floral sprays emanating from a dense floral lattice above the vase, flanked by a variety of flowering trees and further vases, resting on a stepped floral lattice ground, the stepped mihrab arch above with similar floral lattice, in a lemon-yellow border of flower-vases linked by meandering arabesques between shaded ice-blue meandering flowerhead and palmette vine and minor indigo, raspberry red flowerhead and reciprocal skittle pattern stripes, the inner guard stripe with two signature cartouches, a short kilim strip at each end (very slight wear, minute repair)
