Lot Essay

Tickford Park was an Elizabethan house demolished in 1976-7. It stood on the site of an old deer park and came in to the possession of the van Hagen family towards the end of the eighteenth century when Hannah Jaques who had inherited it on the death of her husband, married Hendrick van Hagen.
