the case, in the style of Thomas Cole, of easel form entirely engraved with foliate strap-work with handle to top and hinged stand to the reverse stamped WV for William Vasel, and with shuttered wind and hand-set apertures, the foliate engraved silvered dial with eccentric Arabic chapter ring with blued fleur de lys hands, subsidiary flanking dials for day and date, the going barrel movement with cut bimetallic balance to lever escapement; with green leather, velvet and silk-lined travelling case with key compartment and original bone-handled key
