the dial signed Jno: Wady London on a silvered oval plaque in the matted centre above the mock pendulum aperture, central silvered alarm disc, silvered chapter ring with pierced blued hands, Indian-mask-and-foliate spandrels, silvered calendar ring in the arch, the twin fusee (wire lines) movement with five pillars, knife-edge verge escapement, pull quarter repeat on seven bells, pull wind alarm, pendulum holdfast to the backplate engraved with scrolling foliage within a wheatear-engraved border, the case on stepped plinth with fruitwood inlay, pierced wood frets to the sides, detached columns at the angles supporting the flat-top; the movement circa 1730, the case early 19th. century
