the case with raised panel to the plinth with chamfered panels applied with carved wood frets, the trunk with reeded ¼-columns flanking the door with chequer-strung panelling and with an urn-and-eagle escutcheon, the hood with detatched reeded Composite-capped columns supporting the flat top with dentilled frieze, the painted dial indistinctly signed Husband, Hull with Roman and Arabic chapters, pierced steel hands, subsidiary seconds and calendar rings, the arch with rolling moonphase with blued hand, the motto above reading sic est vita Hominis, the four pillar rack striking movmement with anchor escapement
