Lot Essay

The present impression is rather finer than the two examples in the British Museum which are both trimmed within the platemark and have old repairs. Whilst each is printed with similar traces of tone (most noticeably at the lower left corner) and have a small number of very fine wiping marks, this impression displays a greater crispness and clarity
