A similiar three legged model, which was designed specifically for Johnson's Glass House in New Canaan, Connecticut was offered in our Park Avenue galleries on April 12, 1997, lot 74. Produced in very limited quantities for specific commissions, a four-legged variant was later manufactured by Edison Price. Price, the masterful lighting designer who collaborated with Johnson on several projects, passed away October 15th, 1997.
