woven with a pallu of nine upright floral mosaic boteh, each surmounted by a tipping blue and red carnation head beneath a double arched flower-spray, with pointed cartouches between, the field edged with smaller floral boteh, the hashiyas woven with pinwheel flowers on a meandering vine, with small embroidered numerical inscription, Kashmir, early 19th century, (stains and holes)--136cm x 340cm
