An embroidered amli shawl,
the cotton ground worked in silks with pairs of serpentine palm-tipped boteh to each corner, reaching towards a central flower-shaped medallion, the ground densely worked with over-lapping flower-heads, the borders with rosettes on a hooked vine, (small holes)--160cm x 160cm; and a shawl of fine ivory pashmina, with embroidered borders worked with flowers and arabesques and embroidered kunjiboteh, Kashmir, circa 1900, folded in half, both sides stiched together, (holes and darns)--79cm x 82cm (folded dimensions)
