woven with a tapering spray of lillies and palmettes issuing from either end of an ogival field of black wool, flanked by blue and red palmettes, with s-shaped palm-tipped fronds snaking from each corner within a fluted surround of white and black wool, Kashmir, 19th century, (borders added, damages and repairs)--140cm x 300cm
