A MASSIVE TURQUOISE-GROUND BOTTLE VASE
The ovoid body and tall neck painted with three four-clawed dragons striding amidst branches of mallow and chrysanthemum, one dragon in iron-red, one in golden brown and the third en grisaille, as are the leafy branches, while the blossoms are in white enamel, all detailed in gilding and reserved against an opaque turquoise ground bordered above and below by yellow-ground bands decorated with bird and flower cartouches separated by flower sprays, with detached flower sprigs painted in a famille rose palette on the interior of the mouth rim
