EIGHT ACOMA POLYCHROME POTTERY JARS WITH POTTERY SCENE

The first with short neck, tapering shoulders, long sides, small base, with white slip and with black spiral webbed motif; the second, with elongated neck, sloping shoulders, with figures on sides; the third, in the form of a wedding vase, with geometric designs on front and back in black; the fourth, in the form of a canteen, with round body, short neck and two handles, decorated with a depiction of a Polik Mana on front; the fifth, with short square neck, wide flat flared shoulders and narrow base, polychrome painted with traditional Hopi eagle tail motifs; the sixth, with wide flared rim, rounded shoulders, small base, decorated with rosette and geometric motifs; the seventh, with terraced rim and globular body, polychrome decorated with butterfly motifs; the eighth, with short neck, high rounded shoulders, painted white with black designs in the style of Soccorro black on white pottery; the base, depicting a pueblo cliff wall, painted in cream
Ranging in size from: ¼ to 1¼in. (.5 to 3.7cm.) high
