Rectangular, enamelled with opaque red, the borders pierced with Greek keys and laurel leaves, the lid with diamond-set inscription Souvenir, the other side of the lid and both sides of the base set with cartouche-shaped enamels depicting putti, the interior fitted with ivory tablets and pencil, marked on bezel of base and cover; with charge mark of Jean-Jacques Prévost
