Of tapering cylindrical form, with tubular scroll handle, the hinged cover with cast lion thumbpiece, the body and cover flat-chased with ho-ho birds within exotic landscape, the side engraved with coat-of-arms and crest within acanthus cartouche, the base engraved with initials MS over MB, marked on body, cover and handle
