MAKER'S MARK OF JEAN-BAPTISTE-CLAUDE ODIOT, PARIS, 1798-1809
Ovoid, on spreading circular foot chased with a band of egg-and-dart and flat-chased with palmettes, the lower body similarly chased and applied at the shoulder with a band of egg-and-dart, the ebonized loop handle with wild mask and acanthus sockets, applied under the dentilated rim with flowerheads, the leaf-clad scroll spout with lion head terminal, the flat hinged cover with palmette bud finial.

Marked on foot, rim and cover, also struck with 1st title and middle guarantee marks for 1809-1819 and with Soviet control marks for 1953-1955
