The Sala dell'Illiad in the Pitti Palace is named after the paintings on the ceiling and in the lunettes by Luigi Sabatelli that represent episodes from Homer's The Iliad. In the center of the room there is a statue by Lorenzo Bartolini (1777-1850) that represents Charity. The main pictures in the room are: La Gravida, Portrait of a Lady by Raphael, The Assumption Passerini and The Assumption Panciatichi by Andrea del Sarto.
