A CELADON BOWL AND SAUCER
koryo dynasty (13th century)
The deep, conical bowl raised on a high ring foot and carved on the outer walls with overlapping lotus leaves, decorated overall by a celadon glaze with dense crackle and pooling slightly emerald in places; the shallow saucer also round and carved on the underside with a band of overlapping petals radiating from the ring foot, the saucer also incised with a narrow ring in the well and covered by a celadon glaze with dense crackle, foot unglazed and with four spur marks
Bowl 6 3/8in. (16.2cm.) diameter, 3 5/8in. (9cm.) high; saucer 6in. (15.3cm.) diameter, 1 3/8in. (3.5cm.) high
