Balanced on a short ring foot, the circular bowl with curving walls rising to an everted rim, decorated on the exterior in inlaid white slip with a band of stamped 'rope curtain' below a key-fret border and above a band of stylized grasses set between double lines, the interior engraved in the central well with a large chrysanthemum floret surrounded by numerous smaller stamped florets, all encircled by a narrow band of engraved petals, a wider band of stamped 'rope curtain', and a border of stylized grasses set between double and single lines below the rim, covered overall by a green-tinged transparent glaze
