Of square section rising to the flat shoulder supporting the tapered, cylindrical neck ending in a rolled lip, painted in underglaze-blue within line borders on each facet with a rectangular panel, each of a different subject: a scholar seated next to a small table holding a wine flask and cup, rocks to the right, and a pine wrapped with a hanging vine and the sun above; a lotus pond, pavilion, pines, distant cliffs and the sun; a heron, reeds, pine, distant cliffs, and the sun; a thatched hut beneath arching willow trees, craggy rocks, distant cliffs and horizontal streaks of clouds; the slanted edge below the flat shoulder also painted in underglaze-blue with scrolling foliage and the perimeter of the flat shoulder area marked by another narrow blue line, also decorated by a clear glaze ending at the foot, the flat base unglazed
