On four tapered cylindrical legs with fluted tops, each leg with ivory sabot, the sides of the desk inlaid with a band of ivory above a pull-out writing panel with ivory knob, the rectangular top with inset parchment panel, the central drawer flanked by two drawers either side with ivory pulls, underside branded Ruhlmann, with atelier A mark, also marked in charcoal No. 94
