A RARE 'TRUMPET-CREEPER' LEADED GLASS SHADE

The conical shade decorated with clusters of trumpet-creeper blossoms in vivid colors of mottled yellow and orange, ruby red and celadon green, with some petals of rippled glass, the white and green leaves striated with red and teal, against a translucent and striated ground of blue, mauve and purple and striated shades of yellow, green, pink and amber, some glass with stippled decoration, the shade interspersed with several pieces of 'fractured' glass, bordered by two rows of rippled glass with bronze beaded rim, supported on a Chinese archaistic bronze vessel, probably 19th century, the pear-shaped body encircled by a band of stylized birds, flanked on the shoulder by two stylized butterflies suspending ring handles, resting on a six-footed pedestal and circular base later added
