The trapezoidal box painted on both long sides with mirror images of an undulating uraeus above a framed panel, within it a priest wearing a sash and holding his right arm forth with an offering of smoking incense to Thoth, god of wisdom and patron of scribes depicted as a seated ibis, behind the bird a djed-pillar between two tyet symbols, the frame in red and green hollow squares alternating with bands of white, the small end with a single djed-pillar, the large end with two ibis-headed figures of Thoth standing back-to-back, the lid inscribed with four lines of a Demotic text; containing a mummified ibis of similar date
