A HELLENISTIC TERRACOTTA FEMALE FIGURE
circa 3rd century b.c.
Wearing a chiton and a himation draped tightly around her, revealing the form of her body beneath, her head turned slightly left, her hair center-parted with a loose knot at the back of her neck, her left arm bent, holding a fan in her hand, with heavy drapery falling from her arm, her right arm wrapped in drapery close to her body, standing with her weight on her left leg, her right knee bent, her right foot visible below, on a thin integral base, some pigment preserved, including red for her hair, pink for her fan, light pink, white and blue for some of her drapery, and black on her back
