A GREEK TERRACOTTA FIGURE OF A WOMAN
circa 3rd century b.c.
Wearing a high-belted chiton with a V-shaped neck, pinned on the right shoulder, standing on a rectangular plinth, her left elbow bent with her hand on her hip, the right arm at her side, a heart-shaped fan in her hand, her left shoulder and arm enveloped in a himation which wraps behind her, her head turned to her left, her hair arranged in a melon-coiffure with a chignon in back, extensive surviving polychrome, including red for the hair, pink on the himation, red on her one emerging shoe, and blue on the belt
