THREE BYZANTINE BRONZE CROSSES
circa 5th-9th century a.d.
Including a processional cross, each slightly flaring arm ending in small knobs at the corners, one side engraved with a series of dotted circles, a portion of the tang preserved; a processional cross, each flaring arm ending in projecting three knob clusters, with small crosses above the cross arms, the tang missing; and a small reliquary cross made from two halves, hinged at the base and originally pinned to the now missing suspension loop through the three projecting loops, one side with dotted concentric circles in each arm and a similar circle in the center ringed with smaller dotted circles, the other side with incised ornament, the center originally set with a gem or glass
