Working on a free-lance basis from 1955 to at least 1969 for A.VE.M. (Arte Vetraria Muranese), Ansolo Fuga designed three-dimensional forms which evidenced great contrast between transparent and opaque white color. Having specialized in stained glass windows prior to his association with A.VE.M., Fuga had an innate sense of form and decoration. It was Luciano Ferro, a master blower at A.VE.M., however, who executed most of Fuga's designs.
