A FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, maker's mark of Gorham, comprising teapot, 1872, no. 780, two up curved handled waste bowl--1872, no. 780, two handled open sugar bowl--?1880, no number, and a squat spouted, waisted short necked, coffee pot--?1889, no. 807, each compressed urn form, on spreading circular base, the base flat chased and engraved with arabesque band, engraved with initial S, the shoulder flat chased and engraved with partly matted arabesque panels, with die rolled beaded moldings, the pots with frond capped scroll handle, beaded and decorated, matted, scroll spout, the bayonet fitted raised cover conformingly decorated and topped by beaded baluster finial--the coffee pot 8½in. (21.5cm.) high, gross weight 81.5oz. (4)
