A SILVER TWO HANDLED CENTERPIECE, maker's mark of Gorham, stamped Coin, no. 320, 1848-65, the shallow oval bowl on spreading circular base, with bright cut and wriggle work arabesque thin band, the center of bowl with shaped oval, later engine turned, cartouche within engraved arabesque surround, the border engraved with demi lune reserves of punched swags within wrigglework and bright cut borders, with two upswept handles with coiled bifurcated top join, with applied ball moldings at intervals--length over handles 14½in. (36.8cm.), 23oz.
