A PORTUGUESE SILVER EWER, Oporto, late 19th Century, round shouldered vase form, on molded raised circular base, engraved with strapwork and ovolo band, the body and shoulder chased with shallow lobes, the shoulder quartered by applied female mask, with strapwork band between, with highly upraised spout, the scroll handle with bifurcated lower join and topped by fully modelled infant Bacchus holding a grape cluster--17¼ (43.8cm.), 26oz.
