Halford & Sons, London, 1909, the cream jug maker's mark worn, apparently that of Hester Bateman, London, 1781, the cylindrical, double walled, argyle one side with hinged squat spout, wood loop handle and long, thin, S scroll spout, with beaded moldings, the detachable molded low domed cover topped by baluster finial--5½in. (13.9cm.) high, the baluster cream jug on circular pedestal base, the sides twice chased with floral spray centering front vacant cartouche, with scroll handle--5in.
