The carved standing full-bodied owl with articulated feathers, beak ears and talons, and large yellow and black glass eyes, above a carved rolled paper over an open carved book with articulated pages and spine above three similarly carved graduated closed books, the largest book with removeable carved inkwell and carved feather pen, over removeable articulated loose pages, a carved leaning book above bound rolled group of manuscripts all over a large book with rope binding and articulated pages, inscribed underneath L. Macneir Bronzet 1878--5in. high, 25in. wide, 18in. deep
