The spreadwing eagle finial mounted on a sphere above a circular glazed door opening to a conforming white-painted dial face with Roman chapter ring above an eglomise decorated throat with acanthus leaf scroll enclosed by a conforming applied leaf stencilled surround with raised square cornerblocks all flanked by pierced scrolled open brass spandrels over a rectangular base with eglomise panel depicting two fighting vessels one with American flag the other with British flag, encircled by an acanthus gilt-painted wreath enclosed by an acathus leaf stencilled surround with raised square cornerblocks above a giltwood molded base with hung spherules and acorn pendant--40in. high
